We have welcomed over 100 pupils at our office to learn more about us and the industry, including 30 work experience students.  We know that in-person and hands-on experience at a place of work is incredible valuable and can help a person make informed choices about their future aspirations.

As part of the placement – we ask pupils about their experience meeting our staff and completing several different tasks aimed at giving them a flavour of what we do at Bute Energy, and the various different skills and jobs roles which can be discovered in green jobs like renewable energy development.

Here’s what they had to say…

“I have developed my communication and teamwork skills greatly. I think I have gained a good relationship with the people I have shared this work experience with and I feel that because we got along quite well, we have been able to work together a lot in the tasks we have done throughout the week.

“I will take away from this experience to not be scared to not know what you are going to in the future as everything will play out in the end.”
